How I See Easter Now
As a kid, Easter seems to be this thing where yo simply find eggs and are enthralled by the mystery that is the Easter Bunny! Tessa explains how her perspective on Easter changed from when she was a child to now.
How I See Easter Now: Tessa De VilBiss
When I was little, I didn’t really get Easter.
You go on egg hunts, wear pastels, and there’s bunnies everywhere.
Yet, it’s not as big as Christmas and there seems to be less traditions.
Recently,, my eyes have been opened to why we celebrate Easter and why it’s so important.
1. It shows Jesus keeps His word. He said that He would die and rise again in three days, and HE DID!
2. Jesus not only died, but He rose. This is so important. People often say Jesus died for your sins, but He defeated death! This victory is just as important.
3. Jesus endured immense pain for you and me. He died for our sins (that part I’m sure you know), but don’t forget that He died for that girl or guy you can’t stand.
4. It doesn’t end with Easter. Jesus was back on earth for 40 days before going to Heaven. He kept teaching and when He left, send the Holy Spirit to be with us. What is Jesus calling you into after Easter?
He is faithful, risen, loving, and still active! Live in His peace.
